Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Stepdown - Cardiovascular Care Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience required License: Oklahoma State License or Compact License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Cardiac experience (not solely ICU) Job Description: - Provide care for patients experiencing STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out, congestive heart failure, noninvasive ventilation, and post-cardiothoracic surgery after ICU. - Administer and manage antiarrhythmic IV medications and care for patients with peripheral vascular compromise. - Float to Medical/Surgical or Emergency Room units to manage holds if necessary. - Flexibility in scheduling; block scheduling is not permitted. - Recent traveler experience is highly preferred. - Complete a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit Skills Checklist current within one year and relevant to the specialty. - Provide two supervisory reference forms dated within the last two years. - Willingness to work six weekend shifts every six-week schedule cycle.
