Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Stepdown Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: At least 1 year of cardiac experience required, recent traveler experience highly preferred License: Must hold an active state license or compact license Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Flexibility required, no block scheduling Job Description: - Provide care for patients experiencing STEMI/NSTEMI, chest pain rule out, and congestive heart failure. - Manage noninvasive ventilation and care for patients in post-cardiothoracic surgery after ICU. - Administer antiarrhythmic IV medications. - Handle cases of peripheral vascular compromise. - Required to float to Med/Surg or ER to manage CVCU/Med Surg holds. - Complete a Stepdown/PCU skills checklist that is current to one year and pertinent to the specialty. - Provide two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years. - Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
