Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Job Duration: 13-week assignment Shift: 12 Hour Nights (36 Hour Guarantee) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: At least 2 years of experience required Recent traveler experience highly preferred License: Oklahoma State License or compact Certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in CVICU, ICU, MSICU (Med/Surg) - Current Skills Checklist pertinent to the specialty - Two Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years Job Description: - The role involves working in an open Intensive Care Unit that serves as a Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, CVICU, and Neuro ICU. - Responsibilities may include care for pediatric patients if medical transport is unavailable. - The ICU consists of two sections with a 14-bed unit and a 12-bed unit, with placement determined by bed availability. - Typical staffing ratio in ICU is 1:2, with occasional 1:3 for ICU patients. - In case of low patient census, assignment may include floating to CVCU with a staffing ratio of 1:4 or to the Emergency Department with similar patient ratios. - Weekend work required for 5 days out of six weeks.
