qualified PICU RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Pediatric Intensive Care
Unit (PICU) Job Specialty: Pediatrics Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
7 PM to 7 AM, may offer block scheduling (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year
of PICU experience License: Current RN License or current
multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current
Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association -
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) issued by the American Heart
Association Must-Have: - RN License - PICU Experience - English
proficiency (Speak, Read, Write) Job Description: - Provide nursing
care under general supervision to a variety of pediatric patients
with health problems ranging from simple to complex. - Assume
responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document their
responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical
treatments. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and
performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and
monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological
manifestations, and intervene as necessary. - Administer medication
as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous
infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently
and interact with family and patient to discuss care plans. -
Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and refer
patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to
support staff and perform other duties as assigned. Skills &
Experience Required: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory,
practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan,
coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing
techniques. - Good verbal and written communication skills, and
ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of
patients and visitors. - Some computer skills are required. -
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program is
required. A Bachelor of Science or higher in a Nursing Board
